Infrared Saunas Are A Natural Source Of Healing

Sweating through an infrared sauna at Synergy Nutrition and Wellness offers a distinctive approach compared to traditional saunas.

Unlike the steam and external heat of traditional saunas, infrared saunas penetrate the body directly with infrared light, fostering deep cellular activation. This process not only enhances detoxification and calorie burn but also supports pain relief, stress reduction, and endurance improvement.

Clients experience a more comfortable, deeply restorative session that promotes muscle growth, weight loss, and overall well-being through increased sweating and purification.

How it works

Sweating at the Right Temperature

Traditional saunas rely on heavy steam and intense humidity to heat the air around you, which can quickly feel overwhelming. Our infrared saunas use clean, soothing light waves to warm your body directly.

This unique approach induces a deep, purifying sweat at much lower and more comfortable temperatures, giving you all the benefits of a traditional sauna session in a completely relaxing atmosphere.

Why it matters

Clearing Out Toxins

Modern living continuously exposes us to environmental toxins, heavy metals, and more that builds up over time. This can manifest as stubborn muscle tension and a constant feeling of depletion. Frequently Asked Questions

About Infrared Sauna Therapy

What is an Infrared Sauna?

In the Infrared Sauna, infrared light penetrates several inches into the body and creates heat, resulting in a whole-body hyperthermia on a cellular level to make you sweat.

Is the Infrared Sauna safe?

When done correctly and in moderation, the Infrared Sauna is generally safe for most individuals. However, please consult with a healthcare professional if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. Unlike sunbathing, exposure to infrared heat therapy is safe and won’t cause the skin to burn.

What are the benefits of being in the Infrared Sauna?

Sweating is one of the best ways to rid the body of toxins (toxic drugs, pollutants, pesticides and heavy metals), which in turn improves the immune system and overall health.

Sweating is also a great way to increase metabolic rate and reduce stress — it’s like a workout without the work — burning 400+ calories per session.

The Infrared Sauna helps you detoxify, improves circulation, lymphatic drainage and cardiovascular health, reduces pain, increases your metabolic rate to jumpstart weight loss, rejuvenates your skin, and reduces stress and cortisol levels. Repeated exposure to heat from infrared light results in cumulative health benefits.

Being exposed to the heat of a sauna also stimulates your bodies release of Heat Shock proteins, which have far reaching benefits.

Is this like a regular steam sauna?

Not quite. Invisible Infrared light heats the body, not the surrounding air, so it is more comfortable and allows you to enjoy a longer session than with traditional steam saunas.

Is Infrared Sauna for anti-aging?

The infrared sauna is great for reducing wrinkles and crow’s feet, and it helps improve overall skin tone, including softness, smoothness, elasticity, clarity and firmness.

How long do you recommend for each session?

We recommend working your way up to 30 minutes. Your sweating and detoxification continues after you get out of the sauna for about 30 to 60-minutes afterwards, so it's not recommended that you shower right afterwards as it will shorten the benefits of the detoxification process.

How does an Infrared Sauna differ from a traditional sauna?

Traditional saunas rely on intense steam and heavy humidity to heat the air around you, which can often feel overwhelming to breathe. Our Infrared Sauna uses clean, soothing light waves to warm your body directly. This allows you to experience a much deeper, more refreshing sweat at a far more comfortable and manageable temperature.

What do I wear in the sauna?

You can wear a bathing suit or a towel. You will be in a private room alone or with a known partner.

How should I prepare for my Infrared Sauna experience?

Please come to each session well-hydrated, not hungover or after drinking alcohol. You can bring or wear a bathing suit or a towel. A towel is provided for your use if you are in need of one.

How many people can fit in your sauna?

Our sauna is spacious and comfortable, rated for 3 people, but usually used for a private or couples session.

Can children use the Infrared Sauna?

In general, children above the age of 12 can use the Infrared Sauna for a brief session. Children who are prepubescent are not able to thermoregulate (regulate their body temperature through proper sweat production) as well as adults do, so please consult with your primary care provider before using the infrared sauna.

Who cannot use the Infrared Sauna?

Infrared Sauna use is not recommended for people who are pregnant, children under 12, those who cannot handle temperature extremes, and those under the influence of alcohol or who abuse alcohol.
