About Red Light Therapy

How long should my red light therapy session last?

For optimal cellular health, including deep tissue treatment, we recommend 10-minute sessions. You can go as long as 15 minutes.

Is eye protection needed?

Eye protection isn’t necessary, but we don’t recommend looking directly at the LEDs for a long period of time due to the brightness. Some clients are more comfortable closing their eyes during the treatment session, or wearing sun glasses or other eye protection.

What wavelengths are the red LED's set at?

The LED Red Lights are set at 630 nm, this is the recommended wavelength that is readily absorbed by skin tissue, and penetrates deeper into tissue. Leading to improved skin health and collagen production, while also being proven to enhance cellular function and reduced joint pain.

Can I wear clothes during my session?

Yes, you can wear clothes during your treatment sessions, or you can just keep underwear on. Just make sure the area of your body you are trying to treat is fully exposed to the light and not covered. If you are using the therapy for it’s mood or memory or neurogenesis attributes, we do recommend having as much of your skin and head exposed as possible.

Will red light therapy interfere with the medications I use?

Hundreds of clinical studies have proven Red Light Therapy to be safe and effective. However, if you use medications such as Tetrocycline, Digoxin, Retina, generics of those drugs, and/or other photosensitizing drugs, it’s recommended that you consult your healthcare provider before using Red Light Therapy.

Is it safe for children to use red light therapy?

Clinical studies have shown Red Light Therapy to be safe for all ages.

How soon can I expect results?
